We agree completely that war isn’t an option, as I have written above and countless times before. We also agree that sanctions have worsened things, especially the most recent round.

But sanctions didn’t create the economic collapse in Venezuela. That started long before 2017, which was the first time sanctions affected anyone beyond a small circle of top Venezuelan officials.

As usual with critics, I imagine we agree more than you realize, Mr Juznic.
