Lets start with a positive because I get well-meaning people who dont know what is happening here say this stuff a lot. I dont want to see a Military intervention in Venezuela, as the article says. But I want to make something clear about the RT apologists who ¨report¨on Venezuela.

Max Blumenthal goes to the richest parts of Caracas and shows stores full of food. He doesnt go to poor neighborhoods. Nor does he explain that the most people in Venezuela work for the minumum wage (6$ USD a month), a salary that buys one pound of meat or two pounds of grain. No one can live on that. But you wont hear that from your favorite sources. They willfully ignore it.

They purposely distort the situation for ratings. It is irresposponsible journalism. There absolutely is a CHRONIC shortage of food, as even Maduro admitted by allowing the Red Cross to finally distribute aid.

There absolutely are brutal crackdowns on both protests, journalists and opposition leaders. Blumenthal is quite aware of this and chooses to ignore it. According to CPJ, Venezuela has the second worst press freedom rating in the western hemisphere.

Venezuela has the highest crime rate in the world, rampant hunger, a complete lack of Medicine and no functioning education system.

I reccomend very much you diversify your news sources, or even better, come and see for yourself. I have open couch space for you.

But yes, there is plenty of houseing becuase more than 10% (3.7 million people) have fled the country.

And I dont spread lies. Im here, on the front lines. I just walked from the Venezuelan border to Bogota, the main corridor for the millions fleeing. You can see photos on our twitter of the journey. And as soon as I have time to edit down the hours of footage you can hear it directly from the Venezuelans themselves.

You wont see Max Blumenthal doing that. He prefers the posh sections of Caracas.

But thanks for reading. I encourage you to dig a little deeper for yourself and not take what Maduro apologists are saying in blind faith.
